Loose Curly (15mm)
A 5/8-inch curling rod creates curls approximately 1-1/4 inches in diameter. For optimal results, ensure the hair is at least two inches long—shorter strands lack the length needed to wrap fully around the rod, resulting in weak or incomplete curls.
Silky straight
Perfectly straight, with no wave or bend—this option is rarely suitable for most men's hairstyles. Without enough length to add weight, the hair may stick out rather than lay naturally. For a more natural look, consider a slight wave for better movement and styling flexibility.
Natural straight (40mm)
Our 40mm rod size creates a natural straight look—less sleek than silky straight, offering a subtle, relaxed style. If you prefer straight hair with a softer, less polished effect, our natural straight option is the perfect choice for you.
Body wave (36mm)
The 1-1/2 inch rod size produces a gentle, approximately 3-inch wave with a subtle bend—ideal for a relaxed look but not suited for a brushed-back style. When trimmed short, this hair transforms into a sleek, nearly straight appearance.
Slight wave (30mm-32mm)
The 1-inch rod size creates a soft, approximately 2-inch wave, retaining light movement and body. When cut to 2-1/2 inches or shorter, it takes on an almost straight look. Any wave smaller than this will lack volume and definition.
Medium wave (25mm)
The 7/8-inch rod size produces a gentle 1-3/4-inch wave, offering a light, versatile curl that’s the go-to choice for most styles. When trimmed to 2 inches or shorter, it retains only subtle movement, creating a refined, understated look.
Tight wave (19mm)
The 3/4-inch rod size creates a 1-1/2-inch wave, delivering a versatile look that adapts to your style. Keep in mind that cutting it shorter than 2 inches will remove most of the curl. Depending on how it dries, this can form either a wave or a curl—wet it and scrunch for defined curls, or comb it flatter for a smoother wave.
Tight curl (10mm)
A 3/8-inch rod creates tight, springy curls that relax to a 3/4-inch diameter—roughly the width of an average thumb. This size offers flexibility in styling: Bouncy ringlets: Scrunch damp hair upward to amplify the curl pattern as it dries. Loose waves: Comb through damp hair gently to stretch the curl into subtle, textured movement.
Extra-loose afro (8mm)
3/10 inch rod size is an extra loose afro curl and will open to 3/5 inch curl, it gives a fluffy afro looking.
Loose afro (6mm)
1/4 inch rod size is a loose afro and will open to 1/2 inch curl, it’s between extra-loose afro and medium afro.
Medium afro (4mm)
3/16 inch rod size is a slightly looser afro kink-curl and will open to 1/4 inch curl. This curl is also true to rod size.
